Spectrum Photogalerie Hannover 1972
Published by Collection Regard
with a commentary by Almut Weinland and Antonio Panetta
The Spectrum Photogalerie opened its doors in April 1972 with an exhibition featuring the work of German photographer Hein Gorny. It was the first of what would ultimately become 88 photography exhibitions in all, curated by the gallery founders Heinrich Riebesehl, Joachim Giesel and Peter Gauditz. Their groundbreaking work significantly contributed to the acceptance of photography as an art form in Europe. This book is dedicated to the founders of the Spectrum Photogalerie and the rediscovery of the photographs of Hein Gorny.
